Nguyễn wins second World Tennis Tour M25 title

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese-American tennis ace Daniel Nguyễn won the ITF World Tennis Tour M 二 五 II yesterday in Tây Ninh Province.

Nguyễn, world No  四 八 六, defeated Japanese  Rio Noguchi  六- 四,  六- 二 in the final which was postponed due to heavy rain on Sunday when Nguyễn led  四- 二 in the first set.

It was his second title in two weeks after he won the Tour M 二 五 I last Monday, beating Việt Nam No  一 Lý Hoàng Nam  六- 三,  七- 六.

The doubles title went to Noguchi and his Russian partner Alexey Zakharov after winning  六- 七 ( 五),  六- 四,  一0- 六 over Samuel Beren of America and Billy Harris of England. — VNS
